Vista Ultimate Logon trouble.

Last week while I was on vacation I tried to logon to my computer and
received the following error The User Profile Service Failed the Logon. User
profile cannot be loaded. I tried using system restore but received an error
code and it did not complete. Is there any way that I can work around this or
is there so way that I can solve this problem ?
