Vista Ultimate SP1 - popup.exe - Ordinal Not Found

I got a brand new Dell Precision with Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 installed.
After a couple Windows Update, I got the following annoying messages every
time I powered it up:

---------------------------
popup.exe - Ordinal Not Found
---------------------------
The ordinal 2821 could not be located in the dynamic link library
LIBEAY32.dll.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Upon clicking OK button, the next one:

[Window Title]
Microsoft Windows

[Main Instruction]
popup has stopped working

[Content]
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.

[V] View problem details [Check online for a solution and close the
program] [Close the program] [Debug the program]

Close the program will let me continue, but the computer is slow and acting
up frequently.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Bill

Ever think of web search - any web search. It only took seconds to find this
(one of countless hits):
http://www.pcpitstop.com/libraries/p...Popup.exe.html

Uninstall the program and then reinstall it if you feel that you "must" have
this program on your computer.

Using my favorite Internet search tool, here is what I found:

<quote>
Libeay32.dll contains encryption functions which allow for coded
communications over networks. This file is opensource and is used in many
opensource programs to help with SSL communication
</quote>

IOW, it is not Vista component.

I did a search for Libeay32.dll on my computer and I found it in:
Orbitdownloader
Adobe Device Central CS3
Adobe Bridge CS3

Search for Libeay32.dll on your computer and try repair installation of
applications where this dll file is used.

ANY? COOL!

Umm...

I searched for "Chicago White Sox" and didn't find anything pertaining
to the OP's problem.

Woulda been nice if you'd included your search term.

Dear Dusko;

It was the Dell Raid Util that caused problem. I uninstalled it and all is
ok now.
