Two causes have been identified for the updates failure to install:

See if either of those resolves the issue.
If not then you can check the cbs.log for errors and hopefully, find out
just where the error is occurring:
WINDOWS\logs\CBS\cbs.log
It is a *big* log file. To locate where the error is occurring first
start at the top of the log, click Edit, then Find : KB931894
Then do a Find for ERROR.
80070002 ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
The System cannot find the file specified
The error most likely means that a file in the OS can not be located,
not a file in the downloaded update.
