Vista Ultimate Update

was runing update on vista ultimate downloaded and tried to instal Microsoft
Works (KB955428). it faile to install and give mes the erro code 8024002D.
whats should mes do???

It also handles graphics better than MS Office and pages better. It has
most of the features one really needs. Some of the features like
envelopes and mail merge are not as polsihed but do work ok. Most of
those issues are the way Linux handles printers and may be ok when
running Open Office under Windows.

What is nice using products like Open Office, Gimp, Firefox, Thunderbird
and the host of other free Open Source products is that once you learn
them you can carry your knowledge and experience over to Mac or Linux if
you want to go to other OS. You are no longer married to Microsoft with
their copy protection, Microsoft Genuine Disadvantage and the other crap
coming out of a company that USED to place the customer first.

If MS pulled their crap in the early days of computing they would have
gone the way of Lotus and Borland. Remember them?

There are a lot of versions... they are all listed by language. Be
careful to download the one that is the same as your version of Vista.

Follow the directions on how to install it.

well already haves microsoft works 8 came preinstaled on computer and also
have microsoft ofice home and student so just wan get the works update to
install.

I get the same error message for an update of works. I use Vista Home
Premium. What I did was to reinstall it & it went through ok the second time
around.
