Vista Ultimate Upgrade Failure

I have searched the posts but have been unable to solve my problem. I have
just purchased an Acer Aspire 5920 laptop with Vista Home Premium already
installed. As part of the package, I got an upgrade disc for Vista Ultimate.
I have attempted to install the 32 bit version after running advisor. It
gets through to after expanding the files and then say it is restarting the
computer. When the computer starts it comes up with the following (bear with
me, this is quite long).

Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software chage might be the
cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disk and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings and then click "next".
3. Click "repair your computer".

If you do not have this disk, contact your system administrator or computer
manufacturer for assistance.

File: \$windows.nt~BT\windows\system32\drivers\iastor.sy s
Status: 0xc000035a
Info: windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or
corrupt.

I then can press enter and it gives me the option of either using the
windows vista set up or vista home premium. If I use set up the same as
above happens. If I use home it lets me on fine then pops up a box saying it
has reverted to the previous installation.

I am a total loss at to what to do now.

Thank you, it's a place to start. I'll go back and get a replacement disc.
Does anyone know how to now remove the partial install that pops up when I
start the computer?
