Vista Ultimate w/ Movie Maker keeps on crashing during publishing!

My movie maker keeps on crashing during publishing of MM projects. I have
Vista Ultimate, 10TB disk space, Intel Quad Core Extreme, 4 GB RAM and movie
maker bare back. I google searched and tried every trick/advice (I can think
of) from forums, blogs, etc... but at no avail. So out of disperation...
anyone out there that might have this problem or resolution.... THANKS!

You've got a variety of publishing options there eg file format / publishing
to computer / DVD etc, so you'd need to be more specific Does it crash with
all of these choices or only with one specific choice?

Try unchecking any suspect video filters via

(Movie Maker) > Tools > Options > Compatibility

Thanks for your reply. with regards to your question or inquiry below, I am
publishing or I should say saving a movie maker project (.wswmm) to my hard
disk under default .wmv format. I have also tried unchecking filter(s) but
the system still crashes. My system is new vista ultimate 32bit install with
msoffice ultimate (2007), adobe 8 pro and active 10x. On another PC, my XPS
Dell Laptop w/ vista 32, I have NO problem creating and saving or
"publishing" movie maker project to any attached hard drive. I know that
vista works with movie maker but what could I have overlooked in my desktop
that makes it crush during publish time with MM? Thanks.

The only thing I can think is that you have some other software installed +
running that is causing the conflict. This could be software that came with
say TV card / tuner etc you've got and is conflicting with Vista's software.
You could try removing any non-essential media software, to see if that
resolves the issue.
