Vista Ultimate x32 not getting updates from WSUS

Subject pretty much says it all: Approved updates in WSUS, one Vista x64
install gets updated, my x32 Vista Ultimate doesn't. We only have 2 Vista
machines deployed in our large Education/Research-related network. I have
checked the x32 machine and the BITS and Update services are starting
delayed (default). The WSUS report on the x32 Vista PC shows that all the
updates had a "not approved" status, although all Vista updated have been
approved.through December. It always requires a manual update from the MS
updates to get it patched. The Vista x64 machine has been getting its
updates all along. There are no proxies on the network.

Anything I need to check that I haven't?

tried to update my system and while updating it tell me that it does not
apply to my system? but it is asking me to update using this update?
