Vista Ultimate x86 Could not search for new Updates

For some reason, my date and time was reset to 2002, so of course I
could not update. I changed the date and I continue not to be able to
update. The error code is 80070490.

I tried stopping the service and deleting the WU. It did not help. I
tried stopping the firewall and it did not help. I tried running chkdsk
/f on the C: drive and it did not help.

I have attached the WindowsUpdate.log as a .rar file.

Please help me fix this.

The in-place upgrade failed on the final step. Microsoft contacted m
with many other choices. I will report back when I have tried them
along with the outcome.
