Had the sleep problem with my Vista Ultimate SP1 desktop. The only
difference was that I was able to wake it by quickly pressing the power
button. Still annoying though. I fixed the problem by running the System
File Checker (sfc) commands. Give it a try.
* Select Start > Run > type sfc /scannow
* Click OK, scan should begin verifying the files are not corrupted
* Restart the PC when completed
You shouldn't need your CD with Vista. Also, note the space after the c in
sfc.
