Hi,

on a FSC T4215 with Vista Business (DE version), everytime I try to run
Windows Update, Vista prompts me to install the new 7.0.6000.381 update
client (since it came out), but the installation of the new update client
fails, preventing me to receive any updates.

None of the proposed solutions work fpr my configuration. What I did already:

*) delete the SoftwareDistribution folder in order to re-install the update
client
*) turn on or off the "other MS updates option" as proposed in some newsgroups
*) check WGA integrity: the diagnostic tool reports no WGA errors
*) turn off all "unnecessary" processes and services, the antivirus
software, the firewall, etc.

Did anyone else encounter the same problem? Are there any other solutions to
re-install update services?

Are you using the v2 beta of OneCare?

I'm having the same problem and suspect that it may be something to do with
OneCare (it has been acting strangely too...)

No. There is no OneCare on my machine... But another interesting thing is,
that there is another update, that refuses to install: KB933928. This is also
about the update client...
