Hello. I've been unable to update my Windows Vista home Premium for a
while, and I get the error code 0x80246008.
I've tried to rectify the problem, but I cannot find the BITS file in
the Services area, so cannot see if it needs turning on or not.
I've deleted the qmgr*.dat files, as I read elsewhere on the forums,
and I've tried executing the following bat file:
set BitsRegKey=HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\BITS
reg add %BitsRegKey% /v LogFileFlags /t REG_DWORD /d 0xfbcf /f
reg add %BitsRegKey% /v LogFileSize /t REG_DWORD /d 0x100 /f
reg add %BitsRegKey% /v LogFileMinMemory /t REG_DWORD /d 0x30 /f
net stop bits
net start bits
I still have had no luck with Windows Update. Can anyone help me?
