Vista Updates and iTunes

Hello,
My problem began a few months ago when I got an update for Vista,
automatically sent to me and installed. The update made it so that when i
right click on anything in the windows explorer, it would take precisely 30
seconds to react with more than the thinking icon. A friend told me to turn
off the auto update and uninstall the update. I forgot to turn off the auto
update and it reinstalled later with six or so other updates, so I
uninstalled all of them and turned off autoupdating. It partly solved the
rightclicking problem but in the process it did something to my mouse control
panel so the extra buttons didnt work any more. I lived with this until now,
three months later when I decided to fix it and had lots of trouble doing it.
Someone suggested a system restore when all else had failed so I tried it. I
restored to the earilist date I could which was just barely before the
reinstallation of the updates. When it finished, I could fix the mouse
problem but it hurt iTunes somehow. Because I vaule iTunes more than my extra
mouse buttons, I decided to undo the restore which failed so I restored to
the next latest date, the day before (yesterday). It worked but in the
process it destroyed iTunes so now it wont do anything more than say "iTunes
has stopped working and windows is searching for a solution" but it never
finds one. Then when I tryed to go online for help, my homepage which
features music, also says "internet explorer has stopped working and windows
is searching for a solution" which it doesnt find and forces it to close.

My question is how do I fix this?
1) iTunes
2) Internet Explorer
3) logitec SetPoint 3.3

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated because the window is not that far
away and my arm is strong.

Thank you

I would recommend a System Restore to a point where IE7 is working well. then
completely uninstall (better than you can do with Programs & Features) and do
a clean reinstall of your mouse driver and iTunes. The following tutorial
provides details on how to do this. If you're still having problems,
consider your Repair Vista Options in the second tutorial.
