Vista Upgrade Mess up, Big Help Needed

I decided to upgrade my windows vista home basic to vista ultimate
the software told me i had to do a clean install for it so i clicked o
it and it asked me to make a new partiton for it.. i did that too (
had to drives, C; and D; .. i partitioned it on D;
it installed blah blah then reboote
when it booted up a screen (basically) said what version of windows t
start, and i could chose between home basic and ultimate, i chos
ultimate and started the whole start thing, select region, time date
user name ect..
then after the computer restarted, the first screen came up ( Ace
screen with del:setup menu and F12:boot menu) then goes to a white bo
floating around the screen with "input not supported" inside
i can't get it into safe mode, and cant get past that screen, it jus
stays on..

Any help please?
