Vista upgrade versions - How many motherboard upgrades?

Hi, i am one who upgrades my computer, and re-installs windows frequently.

I therefore know that i can not use an OEM version of Vista, as i upgrade my
computer much more than the 3 motherboard upgrades an OEM version allows in
Vista's lifetime

Since the Vista Home Premium and Ultimate retail version is so ridiculously
and unethically expensive, i there for might have a better conscience my
self, by getting one of them as an upgrade version on top of my Windows XP
software.

But what about the activation/licensing concerning frequent upgrades of the
PC and motherboard. Will an upgrade version of Vista only work with 3
different motherboards as the OEM versions, or will it work as an retail
version so i can upgrade my PC and motherboard as often as i want?

How about installation. I certenly prefer a "clean" installation, over a
"local" installation. Will i need to install XP every time i reinstals my
PC, before i install Vista upgrade version, or is the serial code for XP
followed by a clean Vista upgrade enough?

You can do a *Clean* Install with the Upgrade Version, (mine works)
you do not need XP Installed, put it on as a Trial 1st, then Re-Install
Vista over that, with your Key. Might be a Good idea to make a Ghost Image,
Ghost 11 seems to work a treat, if you add Components Regular, if you
Install New M/Boards you would probaly have to wait for the Time out to
Re-Activate Vista or Probably have to Fone MS to do it (Speak to Person) or
Try to Activate 1st over the Fone (Automated), just a thought.
hope this is of some help.
Have Fun.
