Vista upgrade to Win 7 (Streets & Trips 2010 search issue)

After upgrading to Win 7 from Vista, Streets & Trips seemed to still work
until I tried to perform a search. When I typed the name of a city and
clicked on the binocular icon the dialog box appeared for a fraction of a
second and disappeared. it had been working in Vista.
It is still possible to use "Find" by selecting it in "Tools" so a person
can work around the issue.

So you are saying an *upgrade* to another operating system may have messed
up an installed application?

This newsgroup centers around "updates", not "upgrades" and in any case - my
first suggestion in your specific case would be to uninstall the application
in question (Streets & Trips 2010) and reboot and install it clean on your
new operating system *and* ensure you have all the available updates for it.

Also - you may want to verify that you have all the latest hardware drivers
from the hardware manufacturers for your new Operating System. While
everything may 'seem' to be working fine - the manufacturers of the hardware
in your computer may have found and resolved problems you don't even know
existed. ;-)

Windows Update has nothing to do with upgrading Windows. Please post any
future questions about upgrading in this forum:
