Vista upgrades not working

I've currently got about 4 Vista upgrades (2 "important" &
"recommended") which just keep on failing to load. Have followed th
Windows advice as per error numbers (although at least 1 failure has a
error number not in the look up!!), which is delete temp files on har
drive & try again, but it doesn't work.
Anyone able to offer generic advice, or do you need the upgrad
references to help? If so, I need to post again tonight.
Help warmly appreciated

Hello Phil,

Stop automatic update service, delete C:\windows\softwaredistribution folder,
start the service and try again. The folder will be recreated and is only
used for updating, so no problem deleting it. Did it more often, when i had
updating problems and it helps.

Best regards

Try this;

To clear the file system transaction log:

Click the Start button. In the Search box, type CMD, and then, in the list of
results at the very top, right-click CMD.exe, and then click Run as Administrator.

In the command prompt window, copy/paste> fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\

Restart your computer.
