vista user profile gone?

Hello all. I probably went about this the wrong way, but because I had to reinstall windows vista for incompatibility issues, I thought I could just copy my user profile 'jason' to an external hard drive and reinstall vista. When I went back for my profile on the external drive, all I saw in folder 'jason' was a list of files such as 'NTUSER.DAT{1ef6731c-f07181dc-8679-001834bc8dgc7}.TM.blf' and 'NTUSER.DAT{1ef6731c-f07181dc-8679-001834bc8dgc7}.TMContainer
00000000000000000001.regtrans-ms'. I also have 'ntuser.dat.rmbak' and '.rnd'.
There are no subfolders. Is all lost? Please help.

I think you may have lost you things... Maybe someone else can comment.
However, there is much more content in that folder the just the ntuser.dat.
