Vista video settings

I just downloaded Turbo Tax, and a screen tells me my video settings are
640x480, or 256 colors or lower, and it cannot operate o those settings. My
settings are currently 1280x800, with color set on 32 bit. After spending
over an hour with TT, we could not find any other place to adjust video. I
have Vista Basic. My knowledge of computers are limited, but I no idea where
to go from here to go from here to resolve this issue. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Create a shortcut to the app, and use the setting for XP "Compatibility
mode" on the shortcut properties.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I did as you suggested, opening
thecompatibility tab on the properties of the shortcut, and it had no effect.
I even went to the target and generated a shortcut from there, with no effect.

Without doubt Turbo Tax will find a fix for that before April 15 .
I guess I would try it from Safe Mode next. (F8 on restart)
