Vista : volume icon doesn't work

I've installed Windows Vista Ultimate on my HP nx7300 laptop.Before
had XP Professional.Now I have this problem : volume icon in the taskba
doesn't respond wyhen I click on it.I have reinstalled Vist
Ultimate,but another one,different .ISO size,genuine,no crack.Firs
times,like in the previous Vista,worked...after few times clicking on i
to adjust the volume : no response . Volume mixer and sound volum
freezed,no response cliking on them (arrow with working in backgroun
for 1-2 seconds and nothing !!).Manually,I can adjust the volume,mut
on,mute off,volume up,down.I've tried everything,from desinstallig th
driver,reinstaling,using other drivers , to modifying differen
settings.Accesing SoundMax from Control Panel works,settings ar
working,only Sound volume and mixer by clicking on them do not work.Th
only thing I didn't tried is modifying something in the registry,becaus
I don't know what and how.From all I tried ,is the only solution I ca
imagine for fixing. Anyone that can help,I will appreciate a lot,no
only me,but others too that have the same problem and can't find a
answer. Thank'

Yeah right. Besides your post is leeching off the ms servers. Go ask where you
downloaded this pirated Vista Ultimate version from

What do you mean?What leeching???It's genuine from an original Dvd of a
friend who burned it as a image (iso) some time ago.The only reason I
didn't used it was because it's in italian.I didn't even registered it
(30 days). !!!!!!!!!!!!! ????
