Vista wants to update a non-installed program

When I installed OfficeXP I chose NOT to include Outlook since I won't use it
anyway. Nevertheless, Vista keeps telling me that there are important updates
available for Outlook.
What the heck, and what can I do to get rid of this permanently? I've
already hidden every such update but that's not what I want.......

Office Update offers updates for Office programs that you do not have installed

Just let it do it's thing, and then it'll go away. Annoying yes, but that gets rid of it.
