My key has been ripped off, the DVD is not badly scratched and still cannot
install it. The EULA means it dies when the comp dies. Strike 3.

XP can be reinstalled ad nauseum. New comp, same disk, no need to buy a new
copy of XP. Vista, no way I am paying twice. Not going to happen.

Windows 7, lets see the EULA first before I plink down more cash.

I conclude Vista = rip off.

Who needs a counterfeit nag every 5 minutes.

My reaction was similar when I first saw the xp EULA - activation;
activation - I don't want no stinking activation! I do Linux full time
now. No activation, no worrying if someone "stole a key" install as often
as you like on as many computers as you can find - all at once.

Sure you can install that worthless OS anytime you want on any computer. If
you want to get real work done you need a real Operating System. Use XP or
Vista to get your real work done.

That Open Sores software is worth exactly what you pay for it: NOTHING.

Right off hand I'd say you've been feeding at the Federal trough far too
long.

Im not sure your telling the truth here. If you have genuinly obtained a
legal version of vista thats had your key stollen then all you need to do
is contact MS. All they will need is proof of purchase. Vista activation is
not all about "One License key" then its activated.

Frankly, even though it's free, Linux is still a waste of money.
