Vista, Windows Mobile, not recognizing device

I am running Vista Home Premium, an HP iPAQ 4700 with Windows Mobile Version
5.0, with OS 5.1.70. I finally got the Windows Mobile Device Center
downloaded and installed; however, it will not recognize my device, therefore
I can't sync, can't install Office Mobile Update, etc. I have uninstalled,
reinstalled, turned off both firewalls, allowed it wherever I can, and all to
no avail. Both are set to sync using USB, I have tried separate cables and
cradles. I know of no other software to download, etc. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

NEVER MIND...FIGURED IT OUT. SET FIREWALL TO 'AUTOMATIC' AND TO NOT
AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE.
