Vista Windows Update Error 80070664

Trying to install Security Update for Excel 2007 (KB934670)

Failed with error 80070664.

Google has nothing on this error code.

What next?

See if your cmd window does then.

Where did you get that update? Perhaps it isn't for your OS? (Etc.)

BTW doing a diagnosis only by an error code isn't always a good plan.
E.g. the log may have preceding error codes or messages in it
which would make this one less interesting.

Hi all,

I have the same problem. Error code 80070664 shows up for every automatic
update received from Microsoft for a while now. I have 11 updates piled up,
failing each time they try to install and the all return error code
80070664... Any suggestion on how to unclug this issue?

BTW,

The first time I got the error code was on June 17, 2007, while installing:
Update for 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB932080)

The Security Update for Excel 2007 (KB934670) was part of this installation
run and also failed
