Vista Windows update error 80082f8f

Can't check for updates on my fairly new vista machine. I got this error
message, checked data and time and there was no probles as the date and time
worked perfectly. I last did a for updates was 11.27 when a recommended set
of items was installed. No updates since then.

Any ideas

Error message when you search for updates in Windows Vista: "Windows could
not search for new updates (Code 80072F8F)"

If the date and time is correct, then you may need to re-register some files

regsvr32 Softpub.dll /s
regsvr32 Wintrust.dll /s
regsvr32 Initpki.dll /s
regsvr32 Mssip32.dll /s
