cPetty I know, but I'm trying to learn to live with my new Vista WMP 11. All
seems to be OK so far. Could someone give me a clue as to how to change the
lite-blue background to a darker color like gray. The screen doesn't give
enough contrast making it difficult to read. Yes, I've gone to
enhancements-color chooser, this simply changes the hue of the blue. Thanks.

That's controlled by your Windows settings. Right click on Desktop,
Personalize, Color and Appearance, Open Classic Appearance...etc, select a
diff color scheme. Or select Advanced button and do it yourself. Application
Background must be set to light blue. Personally, I'd try the Windows Aero
theme first if your computer can handle it.

do you have Home basic or Home premium and higher?
in basic, it’s a no
any else version yes because change color of windows aero (also changes
taskbar color and window) so then WMP 11 color is changed.
hope this helps.!!!

Hey guys.. both of you were helpfull. But what you're saying is since I have
Vista Basic, I need to upgrade to change the background itself in WMP 11. If
not, learn to live with it.
