Vista won't boot. Hardware issue?

So today I go to boot Vista and it just takes me to the 'blah blah corrupt
something!" boot screen.

I've tried to select safe mode, repair something, run unsigned drivers, etc
etc down the list, and hell if it doesn't just go back o the beginning of the
list again no matter what I select!

Can't recall installing anything last night which would have caused this
issue either. Anywho, I do have a legit OEM copy of home premium i picked up
from newegg, but hell if I know where it is since I moved back to California
last week. all my stuff is everywhere in boxes i was too stupid to mark.

So when i try to boot vista on one 320gb drive like normal, it takes me to
it's repaid screen and no matter what i select, it just refreshes back to the
repair screen and asks me to toss in the vista disc, and do repair something.

luckily i got XP on 2x500gb drives in an array as my backup. Anyone know of
this error, and is it hardware failing (it's new, but 2 months old so far
without issues) or some driver or whatever that is causing this issue?

What error? - all you said was "'blah blah corrupt something!"

good point. when I boot, my bios posts normally.

Vista instantly loads it's 'let me help you' menu. kind of like how when
you hit f8 in XP on boot. it gives several options to select. safe mode,
repair mode, etc etc.

no matter what i select, or no matter how many times i reboot, it just loads
this page when i try to boot vista, or when I select anything.

I was vague because I had figured that getting the gimped screen of fail
might be a common vista issue and someone might know what I meant. Sorry,
i'm awake early.

I did use a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate, but no matter if I select 'repair
from dvd' it won't ever do anything except refresh through the same menu.

Even if I select 'safe mode'. Not sure what caused this to begin with, I
still suspect a windows update.

Since I do still have access to the Drive that had Vista installed on it, is
there any crashdump or the like I might be able to check?
