How come i cant get the screensaver to come on? I set it for 5 minutes and
it never comes on. I tried resetting the time, different power profiles,
turning off system restore, turning off windows update, wake on lan. Did i

Hi Skyman,

If you have a wireless mouse or keyboard, then these links may help
you.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/85...een-saver.html

and

'The screen saver does not work when you use a Microsoft wireless
pointing device on a Windows Vista-based computer'

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I tried it all, couldn't find any of the programs they listed that might
cause a conflict. I will try to reinstall vista if i cant fix it cause it
would be faster. Some things never change with microsoft!!!

Yes, then check after each and every install of every app and every Update
(Windows or otherwise), until you find the incompatible app or driver that
has caused the problem.

Or you can take the time to formally t-shoot the problem. I didn't see you
mention MSCONFIG, aka System Configuration Utility. Are you familiar with it
and its uses in trouble-shooting?
