vista won't recognize dcr trv38 usb...

connection. I've plugged in the usb to video camera and started Vist
and it doesn't notice that anything is connected. I tried downloadin
driver for it from MS but it only gives a program to delete if you'v
used the original cd that came with the camera (which i don't have).
Can anyone tell me how to get Vista to recognize the video camera i
connected? or how to connect it differently? i have tried all th
variations of starting/restarting w/camera on /off/running etc. th
computer will recognize other hardward plugged into the same slot an
other slots

Vista doesn't support USB Video Streaming. You need to use a firewire (1394)
to USB adaptor. Plug it in and Windows Movie Maker will come up. Has all
camera controlsSince this works, Sony is not updating USB for Vista.
