I am trying to get an excel spreadsheet macro to function in excel 2007 on a
Vista Business OS. it runs fine in excel 2007 on XP pro OS. Is there a known
work-around for this? It is obviously an issue with Vista.

At Least You Don't Have To Deal With Open Office Spreadsheet. Just FYI.
Macros suck. Just FYI

Have you tried to reduce the Macro security in Excel ?

search Help on Macro security - this will show you a few options.

Yes, I removed all macro security, including allowing activex and all active
content, etc. i even disabled all firewalls, phishing filters, etc. The only
difference is Vista. I didnt even have to remove the security from macros
when i ran it on XP, and the spreadsheet worked fine. I tried to use
OpenOffce also, but it didn't work either (with XP or Vista). Is there some
type(s) of Visual Basic or java that Vista no longer supports?

I am having a similar issue. Except mine involves Excel 2003 and Vista. I
have a spreadsheet with macros that runs fine on XP but in Vista the Text
Import Wizard runs and tries to convert the spreadsheet.
