What is Appbar Bullet? The name sounds like it's some kind of malware. Did
you install something called Appbar Bullet? You can go to the Task Manager
and kill it there if you see it, before you shut the machine down. If you
don't know what it is then you might want to investigate Appbar Bullet. You
just might want to get it off the machine.

Its a brand new computer and I haven't added anything but some music t
it. Also my task manager doesnt work(It runs but won't open). And appba
means application bar (like the bar with the start button on it). When
first used my computer it had a clock and a calender and some othe
stuff in the background and now that doesnt show up either

O and I got the music straight from my PC, not from a website so I'm not
worried about viruses from that.

If malware is running on the machine, that's the first thing it takes out
is Task Manager so that you can't see what is running on the machine.

You can use Process Explorer to see what is running on the machine and kill
the task.

The link tells you about PE and what you can do to seek out malware running
on the machine, like a DLL that can be malware being hosted by a legitimate
process.

You can get PE here.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...s/default.aspx

You can user CurrPorts that runs on Vista, because Active Ports doesn't.

Maybe, you have done something to disable the clock and calendar from
showing, and you need to enable it again.

If you look up Appbar Bullet by using Google, you'll see a lot of people
are having problems with that application.

AppBar is a trialware which lets your form to behave like an
Application Desktop Toolbar. Try to disable it from the startup list
using windows defender. Or else uninstall it through the control panel.
I do not know if this program is considered as a adware product. So no
harm in scanning your PC with one more good 3rd party freeware like
spybot or a-squared.
