vista wont start after windows update

my problem is that i just updated windows and all of a sudden vista wont
start ??? i installed the updates and did a rebbot and during the startup it
gives me up 2 options to launch startup recovery or start windows normally, i
chose start nomaly wicth just started a reboot so i tryed lauch startup
recovery which guides me through the recovery wizard but when i get to the
recovery menu it will let me change the partition size, also compleate
recovery but will not let me recover the C drive, this leaves me with no
option but do a full recovery witch i've done the thing is that i have just
reinstalled all software and ripped my music back to hd and low and behold it
did it again after update
