Before the log-in screen, Vista will call up the screen saver after the
appropriate delay. Once logged-in and on the desktop, however, it doesn't.
Screen saver settings are correct.

Any idea what's happening? I've got a nice screen saver I'd like to use,
but it will only start manually.

Hi PTravel,

Does it work when you have any other screen saver that came with Vista
selected?

It sounds like you may have a program running in the background that is
preventing the screen saver from being activated after the delay time.
Check in Task Manager to see what all is running when it should of went
into the screen saver.

I would especially check for Disk Defragmenter or Search Index.

Shawn

When that happens on my compter, I reset the screensaver activation to a
minue
lower or higher and save the settings.I then shutdown the computer and
restart.
I always works.
