What were you doing "before" it didn't start? Did you install something?
Does your computer itself start, and if so at what point does the system
hang?

Did you try to restore the boot start with the DVD of Vista?
If you set the bios to have the first boot on your DVD device, you will
be invite to press a key to launch the DVD.
After the first screen of install, you will have a link at the bottom of
the screen to repair boot of Vista.
