Vista x64 backup tools out there? (data backups)...

Does anyone know of a backup tool that actually works in x64 Vista
besides acronis?

I have acronis echo 9.5 (latest build) and it frequently cant complete
(data) backup tasks.. granted i'm backing up 300GB or more.. but it
will stall out at say 60% or 90% for no reason, no errors etc..

Then other times it will work fine (backing up a motherboard raid 5 (4
drive) 1.2TB drive to an external 500GB esata drive connected via the
motherboard port (external is Sata II 7200 rpm)...

It will take 10 hours when it does succeed..

I was going to try retrospect 7.6, but it wouldnt install on x64..

Any other backup choices out there (for data)?

Thanks

Acronis Echo isn't what has been used/discussed here. Acronis True
Image Home is the backup software of choice for home users.

What does that mean?

Acronis TrueImage Echo with Universal restore is certainly also a home
product as well.. I've had the same problems with both the home and
workstation versions though..

Seeking an alternative..

Anyone with x64 using a different product? If so which one (not for
imaging, but data backup)?

Thanks

I just downloaded the trial of retrospect 7.6 pro.. seems to be doing
good so far.. estimated time doesnt look that much less though (total
data is 410GB, 10 hour estimate), but if it doesnt hang like Acronis
ill be good to go.

Genie Backup Manager Pro. It's used for data backups only. Works
with Vista x64, can run on a schedule or manually, and can backup to
networked locations. It can test data integrity as well.

Thanks for the info..

Any ideas how well it performs.. ie: MB/min on sataII?

I averaged around 1400 MB/min with retrospect.

Cheers

About 850MB/min. Give or take a few MB/sec.

I actually got a little less than this, so it performed roughly the
same as Acronis (without compression setting used)..

Retrospect gave me 1400, so i think ill stick with that one.. that
took about 5 hours for 425Gb of data...
