Go to the `Backup and Restore Center` from start>all
programs>maintenance. Now,under the heading `Back up files or your entire
computer`,select `Back up computer`.This will create a `Windows Complete PC
Backup and Restore` image

Unless the version of Vista is Home Premium or Basic, then that option is
not available. The OP doesn't say which version they are using.

Good point. But it's actually the other-way round.(assuming that you meant
`edition` and not `version`,since Vista itself is a version of Windows)
The fact is that IF (and not unless) the edition of Vista is Home Premium or
Home Basic(or probably Starter too),the feature is not available.
In other words, only the Business and Ultimate editions do(and perhaps
Enterprise as well)

Yes,the edition has not been specified. But a 64-bit system with RAID
configured on it as well as knowledge of command-line tools makes me think
that this is not a home edition which he is using.......or atleast the
environment isn't one at a typical home.

Yes, you are right I have a Home Premium edition. During the instalatio
the Vista I had to install RAID drivers. After installation the syste
shows that the RAID 0+1 works well. I have 4 HDD 250GB combined in RAID
I think, that RAID not depends on System edition but it is rather
hardvare question
