Hi, I have a system with 2GB Ram, 2.8 dual core Cpu, 9600 512mb Graphics
card, 160 GB HDD.
I did a Vista installation that was not completed. It had XP on before. The
Vista disk is not useable, having being stepped on my the wife ... I now
get a boot menu, with the option of booting to Vista and "EARLIER VERSION OF
WINDOWS" .I choose the earlier version and all is well. It boots into XP
with no hassel. If I choose Vista, the blue screen of death appears. How can
I remove the Vista/boot menu/ or whatever else to just keep it as it is with
XP.
Cheers.

Hi,

You need to boot the system with the XP disk and run fixboot from the
command line of the recovery console.
