The active os is vista with XP as 2nd os in different partition of same hard
drive. Stupidly changed drive letter of XP,ignored warnings, and now get
"...Could not boot from selected disk. Check boot path and disk
hardware...". Changing the drive letter back to original setup gets same
message.

Be grateful for some guidance on how to recover the XP sys.

Had the dual system working ok. Problem occurred when i changed the XP drive
letter and lost path to XP. I seem to have buggered the registry settings or
something. Don't know enough about it. Shouldn't have meddled.

You could always do the reliable fix, by reinstalling the whole dam mess.
