vista xp dual boot help

I have installed vista on a seperate hard disk. I have XP on another disk.

Is there a way to get both OS's onto one hard disk and to dual boot?

Though you might as well leave the machine as it is with two harddrives...
if you really want to dual boot but only use one drive...
you will need to first backup all your data.

Once you are sure all is backed up...
then remove one drive...
and set the one you want to use as primary master.

Now...boot up with your XP cd and when you install....
you will need to delete everything and decide how much room you want for XP
and how much room you want for Vista.

For example...if you have a 400 gig drive...
you may want to allocate 200 to XP and 200 to Vista.

Anyway, once you have the drive allocated for XP...
just go ahead and install it.

Once XP is up and running...
boot up with your Vista DVD and install Vista by using the remainder of the
drive (the existing free space)

Vista , by default will be setup to dual boot...

The installation portion will be quite simple...
but getting all of your data backed up may be a bit time consuming

Yes, you need a separate partition and install on it the other OS.
With VistaBootPro you can repair the dual boot option.
