Vists 64 forgets folder setting

Hi, I'm pretty new with Vista and my version is 64 bit. I have two annoying
problems.

1) More often then not the the folder views I've set up revert to a default
setting which I don't want.
2) Although I start the 32bit version of IE via a short cut it seems
sometimes it's the 64bit version that starts and doesn't have the flash
plugins etc installed. I shut IE and relaunch via the same short cut and
sure enough it's all ok again?

Any ideas, sensible cures would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Eddy

Hello Eddy,

Q1) Applying METHOD TWO in this tutorial may be able to help Vista
remember your folder view settings again.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70...-settings.html

Q2) If you are not sure which verision is opening, then you can click
on Help and "About Internet Explorer" in IE to see if it has "64-bit"
listed in it. If it does, then be sure to create the shortcut from the
"C:\Program Files (x86)" folder. If it does not, then you may need to
uninstall and reisntall the flash player if it is still not working in
IE 32-bit.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I had asked this very same question four days ago with no response.

I have a script here:
http://www.paulsxp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=15
This VBScript will reset the forlder setting so Vists can remember.
