VM for vista home basic

hi am using vista home basic in my laptop and would like to install x
in vista using virtualpc2007. the virtual pc 2007 installs in my syste
but it gives me an error saying 'not a supported operating system'. ca
i be able to install xp in my system neglecting that error ?

I thought you could only install Virtualpc2007 on Vista Business or Ultimate
version, I don't think you can use it on Vista Basic.

Just ignore the error. Other people have used VPC 2007 on Home and Premium
without issue. All the error is telling you is that Microsoft doesn't
support VM on these operating systems, not that it will not work.

Seconding John's sage advice - ignore the error. This is a warning that the
use of Virtual PC is unsupported by Microsoft, not that it won't work. It
works fine for me.

Chinese can afford to BUY Vista, yet less than 200 have a licensed
