you're Server is fully supported, however there is an extra layer of
inconvenience in that you'll need to demonstrate that your issue can be
reproduced outside of the virtualized environment as Microsoft does not
warrant nor test its' products to run within non-Microsoft virtualized
environments. In practice, this can be a real pain, so a good alternative
is to run your Server in a Microsoft-supported virtualized environment:

This has the added benefit of being much less expensive than the equivalent
VMWare product.
