Voice recognition only hears commands, on laptop and desktop!!!

The laptop I bought has Vista Home Premium. I used word and then one day it
started to ONLY hear COMMANDS! It goes through training but in word, nothing,
in wordpad, nothing, no dictation anywhere. It only hears freaking commands.

I think the problem is the fact on the windows download site I downloaded XP
stuff for my desktop computer and it somehow has now screwed it up.

WTF!!

The desktop has XP and I got a trial of vista and, guess what, the SAME
problem after I tried to download WMP11 for XP.
