HTML code allows a web page to use a sound file in various ways. One of the
properties of </bgsound volume=0 src=?.wav/> for example. If the page closes
before the sound file completes play (as in an obnoxious ad, or other popup
you close prematurely) the volume never resets to other than max
("volume=0"). Such rude code behavior is not only unnecessary, it guarantees
an ineffective ad, but nobody ever said an ad man was smart enough to
understand that .
