volume control program

I got this 98 sys, and it has no volume control program, I tried everything
and keeps telling me no VOLUME CONTROL PROGRAM
can any one help

Does it have a sound card?

I have sound, but can't control the volume, cant play cds, the little
speaker on the right hand of the task bar is gone

And there's no sound control in the Control Panel?

I have sound there. Idid go to Multimedia, Audo and checked the box, show
volume control on taskbar, and got an erroe message volume control program
not in stalled. I have no disk to installthe program

I haven't used 98 in awhile but if I recall correctly, there was an add
Windows programs feature in Add/Remove, although you may need the CD to
add something.

I have sound but cant control the volume (up or down). did every thing and
still get the error message VOLUME CONTROL NOT INSTALLED. is there any way i
can get Sndvol32.cnt, and Sndvol32.exe for this 98 win
