Volume Shadow Copy Service

I am Symantec Netbackup version 6.5 and I am having an issue backing up
a Windows 2008 Server. The problem is the backup speed is really slow
because when it runs it starts the Volume Shadow Copy Service which seems to
bring the backups to a crawl. If I disable the Volume Shadow Copy Service
the backup runs great. The 2008 Server has 900GB of small files. Symantec
seems to think that it is a Server 2008 problem. Has anyone run into this
issue before?

Never seen this before. Try this to see if it is Netbackup
of Shadow Copy:

It is Open Source (free). I use it a lot.
