Windows XP Mode is designed to run with Windows VPC , not Virtual PC 2007
SP1.

WVPC and VPC 2007 will not run together.

To install XP Mode and WVPC you should run Windows XP Mode to create the
base virtual disk then install the KB update to load the WVPC code. Then
enable WVPC in Programs and Features.

If you have installed the WVPC update but find that your hardware does
not support WVPC, I would recommend removing WVPC from Features and
uninstalling the update before you try to install VPC 2007 R1.

I am not aware of any method to successfully run the XP Mode vm under VPC
2007. You can install a retail version of XP.

Update your NIC drivers with the latest from the manufacturer of the
NIC (i.e. not Acer)

Intel T4300 does not have VT.
XP Mode will work. You will need to set up your own VM with a child
differencing disk off the Windows XP base VHD. I've done it on a Vista
x64 box with VPC2007.

Are you saying that you can run XP Mode in another OS than Win7 and
without WVPC?
Or are you saying that you can get the downloaded XPMode virtual
machine operational in VPC2007 on another OS and without WVPC?
Surely on Vista you won't get the integration of application
windows???

No, WinVPC still requires HW VT. But, the OP is running VPC2007.

Not without violating the EULA if you're not running Win7 Pro, Ult, or
Ent, as XPMode is license only for those OSes. I used VPC2007 to see
if it was possible to run XP Mode with it, and it is, as proof of
concept to help someone on the Win7Virt forum. It is no longer
installed on that system.

If you go to the direct XPMode download, at this time you'll see that
no where does Microsoft require Windows Virtual PC, only Windows 7
P,U,or E.

No, I am saying XPMode is only licensed for use with Windows 7, and
it's a violation of the EULA to run it on anything but Windows 7.
But, you are not required to use Windows Virtual PC to run it, only
that you need some virtualization program to run XP Mode.

So, to summarize, XPMode requires Windows 7 Pro, Ult, or Ent, but it
does not require Windows Virtual PC. Take a look at the direct XPMode
link, MS says you CAN use WinVPC and you need a virtual Windows
environment SUCH AS WinVPC.

I tried VM Ware player & Oracle's VBox and received same NDIS.SYS blue
screen of death results as below. I downloaded Broadcom's net dirver
software for Win7 64 bit. Is this the driver file that I have to
install to update the NDIS.SYS or do I have to somewhere (I could not
find a version of ndis.sys at Broadcom's or Acer's sites) find a copy
of NDIS.SYS?
