Each week my colleagues connect to our network to upload files. They use the
VPN built into Windows XP and we have been working this way for many months
after loading SP2.
No one could upload this week because although they could connect to the
network they could not open the necessary folder as they were told they did
not have rights.
We eventually got the files uploaded after we switched off the Firewall on
both the host and client machines.
Nothing has changed with any setup except all machines are running automatic
updates.
We cannot allow the firewalls to be off indefinately, any idea what has
changed?
