Where is "Server Manager" and/or how do I run it without a menu entry?
Is there a *.msc I can load?

I've been instructed to run it by an MS supplied web page/help as part
of another issue via Start -> Administrative Tools -> Server Manager
but it does not exist.

Thanks,

Server Manager is a console that comes with Server 2008, unless you're
talking about the 'Manage Your Server' console that comes with Server 2003.

What are you trying to do? Both of those consoles are just starting
points for launching other snapins, so there might be a more direct
route to get into what you need.

Interesting... what do you see when you look at this page:

res://iesetup.dll/softAdmin.htm

This is the page that was stuck into my home page default area after I
removed IE ESC through Add/Remove Programs. I was attempting to remove
it when I made the post above (as in "remove the program that was
generating it" but it looks like MS just changes your home page when
you remove IE ESC.

So, my original problem is cured... I guess that page is just as error
on MS's part in terms of describing the procedure... although it's odd
that I got a page under win2003 that has the wrong instructions.
Perhaps some Windows Update replaced that page with an updated (post
Vista/Win 2008?) page?

Hello +Bob+,

I can reproduce your problem. In Windows server 2003 you can't change the
behaviour that easy as in Windows server 2008 or higher OS. This page will
come with IE8 setup, so i assume you have installed IE8 on the machine?

Best regards
