Hi,

I want to migrate DHCPd from Windows 2000 to Windows 2008 with all the
settings and leases. How the procedure of this would look like?

Hello Paul,

To export and import DHCP database for 2008 choose "netshell dhcp backup"
and "netshell dhcp restore" command (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc772372.aspx)

Will it really work in such way, or do I need to go first to Windows 2003?

Hello Paul,

Sorry for being so late.

After testing with different OS it seems that you have to choose your way
to go over 2003. I was not able to import the database from 2000 direct to
2008.

The "dump" command is not compatible with "import". If you choose the import
export option it works without problem.

Best regards
