W2K STOP 0x0000000A error after latest update

I just installed the latest security updates to W2K Pro and now get a BSOD
at the "Windows is starting up" stage of the boot.
Error is STOP 0x0000000a (0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8042DEF4) NTOSKRNL.EXE

The machine (a laptop) then does a memory dump and reboots and does another
BSOD in an endless loop. There is a KB article (867778) which references
this problem and says there is a hotfix. What it doesn't say is where to
download the hotfix.

Anyone have a clue?

The machine is up to date on all service packs and security updates.

Thanks
Ed

Hi ETG,

As is stated in the KB article, you have to contact Microsoft Product
Support Services in order to obtain the hotfix........the call and the
hotfix are free of charge.
Go here:
http://support.microsoft.com/common/...spx?rdpath=gp;[ln];cntact
ms
Select your location from the drop-down picklist, then you'll see a listing
of Customer Service and Support phone numbers.
